Shan Leahy

Shan Leahy

Seb has been wanting to work with Shan for a number of years and finally got the opportunity on There She Goes where Shan sings backing harmonies.

Shan and Seb's friendship goes back to when Seb used to manage local all-girl indie outfit The Spinsters featuring sisters Shannon & Angela Leahy and Lily & Lorraine Sumich (now with The Benedict Moletta band) and later Catherine Giles on flute. During this time the band released Spun which received JJJ airplay. The single Bad Bills was also featured on Tom Morgan's Half a Cow Release La Femme, No Homme? (www.halfacow.com.au).

The band inspired Seb to buy a ton of recording equipment and start Veeline Records. They recorded the followup to Spun as well as the songs This is Art and Real Estate (which features on the Veeline Sampler Signals).

Shan now records with sister Angela in local outfit Soon.
